- Using a Wick Stick Ums, attach your TCR 24/14 Wick to the centre of your Meredith 9cl Candle Jar, use a wick centering tool to keep it upright.
- Weigh out approximately 80g of ProSoy Container Wax and 8g of your chosen Fragrance Oil.
- Using a wax melter or double boiler, melt over medium to low heat until fully melted, at around 75–80°C. Remove from heat once melted.
- Allow wax to cool to 65°C, then add your fragrance oil and stir thoroughly for 1–2 minutes.
- Transfer wax into a pouring jug and then pour into your 9cl glass and secure with a wick centering tool. Leave to fully set.
- Measure approximately 200g of Gel Wax.
- Melt the gel wax using a wax melter or double boiler over medium to low heat until fully liquified. Remove from heat.
- Allow gel wax to cool to approximately 65°C. Add the Blue Glitter and stir gently to suspend evenly. ⚠️ Do not burn glitter directly inside a candle — this design keeps glitter in the outer gel only.
- Pour the gel wax into the Karen 30cl Candle Jar, filling approximately one third.
- Wait until the gel layer has cooled, then place your fully set 9cl candle into the centre. Fill the rest of the empty space between the glasses with the gel wax, and allow to fully set. Your Glitter Gel Candle is complete.
Gel wax is a translucent, jelly-like wax made from mineral oil and polymer resin. It burns slowly, provides a long burn time, and creates a beautiful glass-like finish that makes it perfect for decorative candles.
Because gel wax is clear, it is ideal for embedding objects such as shells, sand, botanicals, and decorative elements that can withstand heat. However, glitter made from PET plastic should not be burned directly in wax, as it may melt and produce fumes.
This design uses a 9cl container candle placed inside a 30cl gel wax candle. The glitter is suspended in the surrounding gel wax, while the inner candle provides the burn source — creating a sparkling effect safely.
This method allows you to create a decorative, luxury-style candle with shimmer and depth, perfect for gifting or display.
Always check IFRA and legal limits for your chosen fragrance oil before making or selling.

1. Can I Burn A Gel Candle With Glitter Directly In It?
No. PET-based glitter may melt and produce fumes. This design keeps the glitter in the outer gel, while the inner container candle provides the burn.
2. Why Use Gel Wax?
Gel wax provides a clear, decorative finish and burns slower than paraffin wax.
3. Can I Embed Other Objects In Gel Wax?
Yes — provided they can withstand heat and will not melt or ignite.
4. How Long Should I Cure The Inner Candle?
Allow the inner candle to cure for at least 7–14 days for best scent throw.
5. Is Gel Wax More Expensive Than Paraffin Wax?
Yes, but it offers a longer burn time and premium aesthetic finish.
