- Thermometer
- Weighing Scales
- Wax Melter or Bowl and Saucepan
- Measuring Jug
- Using your weighing scales, measure out 80g of ParaSoy Melt Wax, and 8g of your chosen Fragrance Oil.
- Using a Wax Melter, or a bowl over a saucepan of boiling water, slowly melt your wax until it is fully melted.
- Remove the wax from the heat and allow it to cool slightly. Once it reaches approximately 60°C you can add your Fragrance Oil. Mix thoroughly to ensure an even distribution.
- Divide your wax into two separate jugs, approximately one third in one jug, two thirds in the other jug. Add a few Red Dye Chips to the smaller jug of wax and stir until it is all dissolved, keep adding more chips until you have reached your desired level of colour.
- It is now time to pour your waxes into the clamshell mould. Place the mould on a flat surface and slowly pour both jugs of wax into the mould at the same time, allowing the colours to swirl naturally. Otherwise, you can take turns pouring one jug at a time into the mould, alternating the layers. Do not stir once poured — the marble pattern forms during the pour.
- Leave the mould undisturbed on a level surface to set overnight.
For best fragrance performance, allow your wax melts to cure for 1-2 weeks before use.

How do you create a marble effect in wax melts?
The marble effect is created by pouring two differently coloured waxes into the mould either at the same time or in alternating layers. The natural movement of the wax creates the swirl. Avoid over-mixing, as this can blend the colours instead of creating a defined pattern.
Which dyes work best for marble wax melts?
Both liquid dyes and dye chips work well, as long as they are fully melted and evenly dispersed before pouring. Highly pigmented dyes create stronger contrast, which helps the marble effect stand out clearly.
What is the best wax to use for marble wax melts?
ParaSoy Melt Wax works very well for marble wax melts due to its smooth finish and ability to hold colour definition. Always follow the manufacturer’s melt and pour temperature guidelines for best results.
Why did my marble effect blur together?
If the wax is poured too hot or stirred too much after pouring, the colours can blend together. Pouring at the correct temperature and keeping movement minimal helps maintain sharp swirls.
How long should wax melts cure before use?
Wax melts should be left to set overnight before handling. For best fragrance performance, allow them to cure for 1–2 weeks before use.
Can I use more than two colours?
Yes, you can experiment with multiple colours to create a more dynamic marble effect. Just ensure each colour is fully mixed before pouring.
