- Measure out 300ml of Augeo Reed Diffuser Base, and 100ml of your chosen Fragrance Oil.
- Stir gently until the fragrance oil and diffuser base are fully combined.
- Carefully pour the mixture into your Glass Diffuser Bottles.
- If using immediately, screw on your decorative caps. If selling, insert the bung securely before adding the cap.
- Insert your Flower Reeds into the bottles. The string will absorb the fragrance and allow the scent to travel into the flower, diffusing beautifully throughout the room.
Welcome the fresh energy of spring into your home with handmade flower reed diffusers. Inspired by blooming florals and soft seasonal scents, these decorative diffusers are the perfect way to create a light, uplifting atmosphere in any room.
Flower reed diffusers work by drawing fragrance oil up through a cotton wick and into the decorative flower or reed, gently dispersing scent throughout your space. Not only do they provide long-lasting fragrance, but they also add a stylish decorative touch to your home.
One of the biggest benefits of making your own reed diffusers is the ability to customise your fragrance blend. Whether you prefer calming lavender and chamomile, fresh floral bouquets, or citrus-infused spring notes, you can tailor the scent exactly to your taste.
Perfect for gifting, home décor, or even selling (with correct CLP compliance), DIY spring flower reed diffusers are an easy and rewarding project.

1. How Long Will My Flower Reed Diffuser Last?
On average, a DIY reed diffuser lasts 4–8 weeks, depending on the size of the bottle, number of reeds used, fragrance strength, and room temperature. A 100ml diffuser can last approximately 3–4 months, though warmer environments may reduce longevity.
2. How Can I Make My Reed Diffuser Last Longer?
To extend the lifespan:
-
Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
-
Use fewer reeds for a slower scent release.
-
Flip the reeds only when the scent begins to fade.
-
Avoid placing near radiators or open windows.
3. Can I Customise The Fragrance?
Yes! You can blend different floral fragrances such as lavender, chamomile, rose, or jasmine. You can also mix in citrus or herbal notes to create a completely unique spring-inspired scent.
4. What Percentage Of Fragrance Oil Should I Use?
Typically, use between 10%–25% fragrance oil, depending on IFRA guidelines.
For 1 litre of diffuser base, add 150–250ml fragrance oil. Always check your specific fragrance oil’s IFRA limits.
5. Why Is My Diffuser Not Smelling Strong Enough?
You may need to:
-
Increase the fragrance percentage (within safe limits).
-
Add more reeds.
-
Flip the reeds to refresh the scent throw.
6. Can I Sell Homemade Reed Diffusers?
Yes, but you must comply with CLP regulations, proper labelling, and IFRA usage rates before selling.
7. Do Flower Reeds Work Differently From Standard Reeds?
Flower reeds act as both decoration and scent diffuser. The cotton string inside absorbs the fragrance blend and allows it to travel up into the decorative flower, releasing scent gradually.
