Now, we get to hear from Jennifer Williams, owner of Royal Guinevere, a luxury fragrance brand that is said to relax and excite the senses. Let’s discover why Jennifer got into candle making and where her inspiration comes from.
How did she get into candle making? Jennifer fell in love with candle making and wax melt making from research and videos on YouTube. She’s a stay home mum of 4 and she wanted to earn a little extra money while at home. She soon found out that she could make candles and wax melts and when she had a go at making them, her customers loved her creations. She started her business by getting herself up and running in a factory, followed by writing up a business plan which she then took to her bank who financed her start-up. Jennifer then searched for a fragrance brand that she could rely on, which is when she found us! Jennifer expressed how amazing it has been with us here at Supplies for Candles, all of her customers love all our fragrances in Jennifer’s products. She also went on to tell us that our customer service has been very great in attending to all of her requests and questions. Jennifer shared with us that she selects her scents through the customer reviews on our product pages.
After knowing she was going to start up her own business, Jennifer needed to come up with her business name, the inspiration? She was always called Duchess during her youth; she accompanied this with the fact that Jennifer is also Guinevere in medieval French/English. So Duchess’ became Royale paired with Guinever, became Royale Guinevere. Jennifer told us how she wanted a name that she would always own.
So what advice does Jennifer have for those hoping to build their own candle business? Sweet and simple; Study. Experiment. Be open to feedback, and most importantly have fun doing it.
