For this customer story, we get to hear from Abbie the proud owner of Meltsbymee! Meltsbymee is a small business based in the East Midlands that makes handmade wax melts!
We wanted to know exactly what got Abbie into making these exciting wax melts, she told us that she was furloughed for 9 months and wanted to learn something new with all my extra time! And hence Meltsbymee was born into existence!
We also asked Abbie what made her want to try your hand at candle and wax melt making, she told us that her aunty used to make candles and had bought her a candle kit a few years ago so Abbie thought she’d pick it back up again. After some success, she proceeded to visit the Supplies for Candles website where she bought some new equipment and got started on her new business venture. So how did she decide on which scents she wanted to use? Abbie told us that she opt for a lot of vibrant and fruity scents that smell amazing!
We asked Abbie where her name came from and if there was a story behind her name or logo, she went on to tell us that Meltsbymee is a play on her surname which is Mee! A super clever and interesting brand name!
Lastly, we asked if she had any advice for those hoping to build their own candle business. She suggests to just go for it! She was so worried at first but she loves the position she’s now in!
